Learning. . .

Hey y’all!

I have a question for you; How often do you learn new things?

While you think about it, I want to tell you that I found that I am learning something new or improving on what I know already every single day.

And I know what you must be thinking, that’s just ridiculous, but it’s true if you really look at it or look back on your life. For instance, I was today years old when I realized how to properly eat a pineapple. (gasp) I know I’m not alone in this.

Click on the link above if you don’t know what I mean. I bet you $5 you’ll be just as shocked, bamboozled, jaw on the floor, shocked.

Anyway, I also learnt that in life, it’s alright to ask for help. It’s alright to say that “Please, help me.” These are the three magic words that will set your life on another trajectory of success and elevation.

No matter how we look at it, we can’t do this by ourselves; no way. Each of us need each other to keep humanity alive, to keep dreams alive and to ensure the future of the generations to come. There is nothing shameful about asking for, and needing help.

Prideful? Yeah, me too. I’ve always been like, “I can do this by myself.” Or, “I can solve this matter by myself.” But you that kind of stress that you feel, the headaches that attack you out of nowhere, that short temper. . . yeah it’s born out of stress.

Stress often comes when you are feeling overwhelmed. When you are working too hard and you have pressure. Stress is a killer and I’ve found that simply asking for help significantly reduces your stress levels. Today I did that and I feel much better.

A wonderful lady referred me to a Facebook group for established, new and aspiring authors and well, I joined. Since I joined, all I’ve been doing is reading past posts and comments concerning writing and all the work that gets into it. But today, I took a leap and hollered that I need help in getting my book out there and wow, I got a good response from a number of people. All of them chipping in with invaluable information.

I not only asked for help today but I learnt something new. You need to try it, it’s amazing what you’ll find out there. The world is full of wisdom, get some for your mojo.

And so, for my favorite part of my blog, I gave so many exciting books to tell you about. If you know these authors and have read their books, drop a comment and tell me what you liked about their work!

Bennet Mafia by Tijan Meyer

I loved this story so much, and I’ve been reading Tijan Meyer’s books since I was still in high school. She is amazing! I fell in love with Fallen Crest Series, one of her Young Adult, high school series and it was the bomb. The characters, the plot, the settings everything was just perfectly put together and well though out, I swear, you would wish you were a fictional character too in that world.

Then, in comes this Mafia love story unlike her other mafia stories. Bennett Mafia is a standalone and it was so enthralling. This was one of her most anticipated books and it was fire. It delivered on suspense, action, steamy chemistry between the Hero and heroine. I’m still bummed that it’s over, so Tijan can we have another Bennett Mafia book? Please?

I don’t want to spoil this story for anyone but what I’ll tell you is, go get your copy from the link up there! Free in kindle unlimited too.

30 Days by K. Larsen

Okay so listen here, I just started this book today and as I’m writing this blog, I’m itching to get back to it. That’s how good it is!

I was talking to the author, (I like her so much, her personality is so warm and inviting I swear you just fall in love with her) and she told me this is her first published book. Well this one is the first in a series but I swear it is just so engaging and it just grips you right from the start.

I highly, highly recommend this book. It’s not exactly for the faint of heart, but it does open your mind and I bet you, it will make you feel things that you wouldn’t normally. Again, I won’t spoil but damn…..

Okay, go get it from the link up there.

One Night Stand by Parker Kincade

Listen, I was just out here on Instagram the other day, minding my own business, and I came across a certain author’s page and well, I got busy sticking my nose in her business.

While I was doing so, I bumped into a lot of her latest work. But you see, the way I work is this, I have to start from the beginning for me to get hooked on an author or a series.

So, I looked her up and I found the many series she has and lo and behold, this gem came up! One Night Stand. Now if the title doesn’t stop you in your tracks, the cover will do the job.

It’s scorching, steamy and just fire. I want me a Joe Sterling too!! Parker, you nailed it here, Hot damn. And, I’ll dive into book two of The Martin Family series, Shadow of Sin.

Baby, the block is hot. Okay then I have one more. . .

Eighty One Nights by Georgia Cates

Release day, April 9th. Now, this is one of my most anticipated books so far. I can’t wait to read this book and you can pre-order your copy from this link too…

Georgia Cates is a wonderful writer, she has this ability to make you visualize a story and it plays out like a movie, even long after the last page has come and gone. She has so many amazing books and one of my favorite is the Beauty Series, I learnt a lot from it.

So many amazing pieces of work out there. So many stories to be told. Love them all. Drop your comments and tell me some of your favorites. Remember to tell a friend, share this post and comment!

Till next blog, drink a hot cup of tea because, well, honey, it’s cold outside even though they out here telling us that spring has begun. What a load of horse crap….
